Marcos Minà's latest CD The Italians will be released this September! The disc features music by Paganini, Giuliani, Castelnuovo-Tedesco and Bettinelli. The featured works are four very beautiful and sparkling works of great importance in the guitar repertoire. We are looking forward to the first reviews that will be out later this Autumn.
During the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons Marco will be performing two new recital programs: one based on his The Italians CD and a second highlights major works by Giuliani, Beethoven and Zago. Marco has created a "Grande Sonata" from Giuliani's opus 148 and opus 150 sonatas. The second work is Marco's transcription of Beethoven's Sonata Opus 101, a virtuoso piece never before performed. This masterpiece demands a very new and much more intimate moving approach from the guitar. The last work was written by composer Vittorio Zago, whose music is performed regularly at the most prestigious music halls throughout Europe. This work for solo guitar "Women's carpets II" was written for and dedicated to Marco.
Watch for Marco Minà's "Guitarevolution" which will be broadcast soon on Italy's Classica television network. |
